With State funding for public school budgets facing increasing cuts, core and peripheral programs at Oak Ridge are being challenged to maintain a consistently high level of education experience for all students. The Foundation believes to maintain Oak Ridge’s high level of academic excellence and to reach the next level of greatness; the Oak Ridge community will need to play a larger role in filling the emerging funding gaps and challenges.
How can you help? Now more than ever your support is critical to insure the high school experience is enriched to its fullest for all Oak Ridge students.
To address the growing needs on campus, the Foundation has kicked off its 2013 Capital Campaign, Excellence in Education. This campaign is geared to help the community at large invest in the academic, performing arts and facility needs on the ORHS campus. The Campaign is structured to allow an Annual Giver to contribute an amount they feel most comfortable and to target the contribution to a specific Foundation project or to the Foundation’s general fund. Your contributions to the Foundation are tax deductible pursuant to Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3). Our tax ID is 68-0442001.
We hope you will make the Foundation a key part of your charitable giving every year. Since we are an all-volunteer organization, the Foundation’s administrative overhead is almost zero, and nearly 100% of the money raised goes to enhance education and learning at Oak Ridge High School.
CAMPAIGN UPDATE: A mini-campaign within the Excellence in Education campaign has been launched and is call the 25/25/25 Campaign. Its focus is to quickly raise $25,000 in 25 days by asking all Trojan Families, who haven’t already participated, to donate at least $25.
Funding is urgently needed now to complete the payment on the weight equipment and to place an order on wrestling mats for the new state-of-art wrestling facility. If the funds are not raised in time, we risk having new facilities with minimal equipment and no new mats.
Good news is since the start of this mini-campaign, over 200 families have made a donation and we about 90% of the way towards our goal of $25,000!!!
Don’t delay! Donate Today!
